BREAKING: Pope Francis dies at 88

The Catholic Pontiff, Pope Francis is dead.

The head of the Church died at about 7.35 am on Easter Monday.

A statement by the Vatican said the Pope died at his residence in the Vatican’s Casa Santa Marta”.

The statement said the Pope “died on Easter Monday at his residence in the Vatican’s Casa Santa Marta”.

He was 88 years of age.
