BREAKING: Tinubu reducing crime rate, improving governance, economic architecture, top aide claims

President Bola Tinhbu has been working since his assumption of office to reduce the rate of crime and improve governance across Nigeria, the special adviser to the president on policy communication, Daniel Bwala has said.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, December 18, Bwala said the introduction of the Crime Experience and Security Perception Survey (CESPS) through the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) by this administration is a testament to Tinubu’s effort.

He said the initiative is a key step towards achieving a data-driven approach to effective governance in Nigeria.

Bwala with the CESPS, there would be an expected shift in the framework of governance in the country.

“The CESPS is a novel concept designed to provide data-backed insights into issues affecting the polity, moving away from conjectures or assumptions,” Bwala said.

He also said that the new initiative gives the platform for a comprehensive breakdown of crime experiences across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.

Highlighting some of the progress made in fighting criminal activities across the country, Bwala said the security agencies have also been at their best.

He said, “Additionally, fewer school attacks in the North this year further illustrate the administration’s achievements.

“All of these and other economic policies embarked upon by the administration are geared towards redirecting, reworking the entire governance architecture of the country for a more robust and thriving economy that will benefit all and sundry,” he said.
