“BREAKING: Sudanese Army Declares TOTAL Control of Khartoum Amid Ongoing Fierce Clash with RSF!

The Sudanese army has declared that the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have been completely pushed out of Khartoum state, marking what it describes as a significant milestone in its two-year war against the RSF.

“Khartoum State is completely free of rebels,” the army said in a statement published by the state-run Sudan News Agency. The announcement follows nearly two months after military forces reclaimed central Khartoum, including the strategic presidential palace, in a major victory over their rivals.

Despite the declaration, clashes erupted earlier on Tuesday in the city of Omdurman — also part of Khartoum state — with the military launching what it described as a “large-scale offensive,” according to AFP. The RSF has yet to issue a response to the army’s latest claims.

Khartoum, once the centre of Sudan’s political and administrative life, was abandoned by military leadership last year as the RSF advanced, forcing officials to relocate to Port Sudan in the east. However, the eastern city, long considered a relative safe haven, has come under increased threat.

Earlier this month, Port Sudan was struck by drone attacks that hit critical infrastructure, causing severe water shortages and electricity blackouts. The military has blamed the RSF for the assault — an allegation the group has not confirmed.

The attacks have intensified existing tensions between Sudan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The Sudanese government accused the Gulf nation of supporting the RSF and linked it to the Port Sudan attacks. On Tuesday, Sudan reiterated the accusations, which the UAE again firmly denied, calling them “unfounded allegations.”

Since the outbreak of the civil war nearly three years ago, the conflict has killed thousands, displaced millions, and triggered what humanitarian organisations have called the world’s worst humanitarian crisis. Both the Sudanese army and the RSF face international scrutiny, with widespread accusations of war crimes — allegations both parties deny.
