A moving train struck a Rice-laden vehicle in the Iju-Fagba area of Lagos State on Tuesday, December 24.
The tragic incident was documented in a viral video shared on X today.
The vehicle involved, identified as a Sienna, was reportedly loaded with bags of rice.
However, at the time of this report, there have been no confirmed casualties in the accident.
Naija News understands that a year prior, a tragic incident resulted in the deaths of at least three individuals, with numerous others suffering various injuries, following a collision between a staff bus from Lagos State and a commercial train on Agege Motor Road.
Investigations indicated that the accident was attributed to the reckless driving of the BRT bus driver, who attempted to circumvent the train’s traffic signal, resulting in the train colliding with the bus.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) on Monday, announced the suspension of the Warri-Itakpe train service.
The corporation said the suspension was necessitated by the minor derailment which occurred on Sunday at the okpara station.
Naija News understands the derailment occurred around 10 pm on Sunday night at the Okpara station in the Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta state, leaving passengers stranded overnight.
A statement on Monday by the NRC Director of Public Relations, Yakub Mahmood, said engineers have been mobilised for repair to ensure the track is restored as soon as possible.
“The management of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) hereby informs the general public, especially our valued passengers that ply the warri-Itakpe route, that following the minor derailment yesterday at the okpara station, the service will resume shortly as our team of Engineers are at the site of the accident to ensure the track is restored anytime soon.
“However, Itakpe-Warri (ujewu) trains will resume as scheduled in the afternoon today,” the statement reads.
