Nigeria Immigration Service Terminates U.S. Visa Application Operator

The Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) has disengaged the operator of Nigeria visa applications and submissions in the United States of America (U.S.A).
The service said all Nigerians seeking applications for Visa in the United States should henceforth approach the Nigerian Embassy in Washington DC or the Consulates of Nigeria in New York and Atlanta.
The NIS announced this yesterday in Abuja in a statement by its Public Relations Officer, Deputy Controller of Immigration (DCI) Akinsola Akinlabi.
“The Nigeria Immigration Service hereby informs the general public, particularly prospective travelers and Nigerians residing in the United States of America who may require a visa to enter Nigeria, that Online Integrated Solution (OIS SERVICES), the operator of Nigeria’s Visa Application and Submission Centres in the United States, has officially been disengaged from the collection and submission of visa applications on behalf of the Nigerian Mission, effective immediately.
“Accordingly, all applicants seeking Nigerian visas are required to submit their applications directly at the Embassy of Nigeria in Washington, D.C., or at the Consulates of Nigeria in New York and Atlanta until further notice,” Akinlabi said.
The NIS spokesman added that the Embassy and the Consulates have put adequate measures in place to ensure seamless submission, processing, and issuance of visas for Nigerians and other citizens.
“Applicants are further advised to monitor the official communication channels of the Nigeria Immigration Service and the Nigerian Mission in the United States for updates on visa application procedures.
“The Service appreciates the understanding and cooperation of all applicants and remains committed to providing efficient Service Delivery,” the statement added.
