The Ifelodun Muslim Community, Agunbelewo, Osogbo, has congratulated its esteemed Chief Imam, Dr. Abdul Waahid Bamigbade, on his well-deserved promotion to the rank of Associate Professor at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State.
In a congratulatory message, signed by the Chairman, Malam Sulaimon Adeyanju, the Secretary, Malam Abdur Rahman Adebayo, and the PRO, Malam Abdul Hameed Abegunde, the Community described the elevation as a remarkable achievement and a testament to Dr. Bamigbade’s dedication to academic excellence, intellectual development, service to humanity and commitment to the propagation of Islam.
The Community noted that Dr. Bamigbade’s attainment of the rank of Associate Professor is not only a source of immense pride to the entire Ifelodun Muslim Community but also a great honour to the Muslim Ummah.
According to the Statement dated 28th August 2026, the community said Dr. Bamigbade’s achievements in the academic environment, coupled with his responsibilities as the Chief Imam of the Ifelodun Muslim Community, demonstrate that religious leadership and academic excellence can complement each other in the service of humanity.
The Community further commended Dr. Bamigbade for his humility, wisdom, scholarship and steadfast leadership, praying that his new position will provide him with greater opportunities to contribute to the advancement of knowledge, education and the development of society.
“We are particularly proud of this achievement because it reflects the values of hard work, discipline, knowledge and service which Dr. Abdul Waahid Bamigbade has consistently demonstrated. His elevation is a victory for the entire Ifelodun Muslim Community,” the statement said.
The Community prayed to Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala to grant the newly promoted Associate Professor continued wisdom, good health, strength, long life and divine guidance, and to make the new position a source of greater blessings and accomplishments.
