BREAKING: Minister Announces FG’s Next Line of Action

Following the recent alleged suicide bombing explosion that rocked the Islamiyyah school in the Kuchibiyu Community of Bwari Area Council, the Federal Government has highlighted its efforts in preventing a recurrence.

Leading a team of security operatives to the community where the incident happened, the minister of state for the Federal Capital Territory, Mariya Mahmoud said authorities are working to ensure the safety of residents of the area.

Mahmoud and her team also assured that security measures in the community and Bwari Area Council have been beefed up

Some of the key security officers who accompanied the minister include, the FCT commissioner of Police, Olatunji Disu; Commander Naval Unit Abuja, Commodore T.S. Lengaya; Commander Guards Brigade, Brigadier General A.O. Onasanya; FCT Director of Security, Mallam Adamu Gwary and FCT Sector Commander NSCDC, Olusola Odumosu and the Chairman Bwari Area Council, John Gabaya.

Speaking further, Mahmoud said that the Federal Government understands the fear of insecurity faced by the residents and would ensure cooperation with security agencies to strengthen the safety of lives and property in Kuchibiyu.

She said, “Investigations are underway, and heightened security measures have been put in place to prevent any further incidents.

“During this time, let us remain vigilant but not give in to fear. Stay informed through verified sources, cooperate with security agencies, and support one another as a community,” Mahmoud said.

She also commiserated with the families of the victims of the bomb explosion while urging residents to go about their normal days activities.
