We’ll rebuild the secretariat if you set it on fire.

The Vice Chairman of Obio-Akpor Local Government Area in Rivers, Sophia Nkoro, popularly known by her social media handle @MamaFedora3, has addressed growing tensions surrounding the recent local government elections in the state and the subsequent violence that followed.

Nkoro took to Twitter, tagging Rivers State’s former governor, Nyesom Wike (@GovWike), and issuing a strong statement:

“Nebuchadnezzar @GovWike, if you burn down the council secretariat, we will build it back.”

This fiery declaration comes amidst rumours and potential threats to the council’s infrastructure.

Already three local government secretariats in the state have been burned down by thugs suspected to be loyal to Wike.

Nkoro stated that any attempt to undermine the Obio-Akpor local government would fail.

On his part, Chijioke Ihunwo, Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, has revoked the naming of the administrative block in the LG secretariat after former Wike.

The block has been renamed Dr. Obi Wali House. The chairman dared anyone to challenge his decision.
