Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State on Monday warned the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Musibau Babatunde, at his swearing-in to avoid conflicts.
Makinde issued the warning at the swearing-in ceremony at the Executive Chamber of the Oyo State Government in Ibadan.
He said government officials must remain focused on the mandate freely given by the people.
Addressing speculation over the removal of the former SSG, Prof. Olanike Adeyemo, he said: “It was a routine decision.
“She did nothing wrong.”
Makinde described Babatunde, a University of Ibadan economics professor, as a trusted ally who “has been with me for years and understands government operations.
“Babatunde believed in my political vision even before I became governor in 2019.”
The governor urged the new SSG to deploy his experience to ensure smooth administration and “foster unity within the government team”.
Babatunde pledged efficient service delivery through improved coordination of government activities across ministries and agencies.
He assured residents that policies would be implemented more coherently, focusing on “tangible outcomes that positively impact the people of Oyo State”.
Favor As Higher Power?
(The hidden truth)
Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
