The Nigerian Police Force has successfully rescued the wife of former Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Hakeem Odumosu, Alhaja Sikirat Odumosu, from the clutches of kidnappers.
The rescue mission, which took place in Ogun State, also resulted in the recovery of the ransom money demanded by the kidnappers.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Prince Olumuyiwa Adejobi, announced the breakthrough on his official X handle on Thursday.
“The IGP has commended the Police Operatives and CP Ogun State, Lanre Ogunlowo, for a good job. We are committed to safeguarding Nigerian citizens and our dear country,” he said.
Recall that the kidnappers had demanded a ransom of N100 million for the safe release of Alhaja Odumosu, who was abducted from her residence in the Ijebu-Ode area of Ogun State on January 16, 2025.
