BREAKING: Tinubu in war against opposition, not corruption

Former Vice President and PDP Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has strongly criticized the arrest of Professor Usman Yusuf, a well-known social critic.

Taking to his X account, Atiku accused the Tinubu administration of using state machinery to suppress opposition and silence critics instead of genuinely fighting corruption.

He questioned the timing of Yusuf’s arrest, pointing out that the allegations against him date back to the previous administration.

He also accused the government of hypocrisy, saying it shields certain individuals under investigation while using state institutions to target dissenting voices.

According to Atiku, “it’s clear that Tinubu’s administration is more focused on manipulating the system for political gain than addressing corruption.”
