According to a recent report, Tinubu has caused a 92% decrease in Nigeria’s daily gasoline use.

A new report has shown that the daily consumption of fuel by Nigerians under the administration of President Bola Tinubu has reduced by 91 percent.

The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Product Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) Daily Truck Out report for September 2024, shows that fuel consumption dropped drastically since May 29, 2023, when Tinubu assumed office.

According to the report, as of May 2023,  the daily consumption of fuel was 60, 000 million litres per day while by August 20, 2024, there was steep to 4.5 million litres per day.

The NMDPRA report show that out of the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, only 16 states received product allocation from the Nigeran National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) during the period under review.

With this findings, evidence shows that the states that did not get product allocation obviously suffered fuel scarcity throughout August.

According to the report, Niger got 21 trucks (940,000 litres); Lagos, 12 trucks (726,001 litres); Kaduna, 12 trucks (454, 001 litres); Oyo got 12 trucks ( 454 litres); and Kano received nine trucks.

Others include Ondo got nine trucks, Kwara received six trucks, Edo, FCT and Sokoto received four trucks each from the NNPCL.

States like Ogun and Osun got three truck while Gombe, Benue, Ekiti and Kebbi received one truck each.
