Alhaji Mohammed Idris, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, has affirmed that the reforms introduced by President Bola Tinubu’s administration are proving successful and are already showing results.
Speaking to the press after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Tuesday, Idris said, “The government of President Bola Tinubu is listening to the public and ensuring that the economy begins to recover; the reforms are working.”
He added that 2025 would be a year focused on consolidating these reforms, with expectations that the economy would show significant improvement by the end of the year.
“Keep your hopes alive; the Renewed Hope Agenda is on track,” the minister said, noting that while challenges persist, such issues are part of any reform process globally.
Idris highlighted that the FEC meeting on Tuesday considered 67 memos, with only a few deferred. Several construction projects were approved, aimed not only at improving infrastructure but also stimulating the economy by creating jobs.
“This is one of the fastest ways to provide employment for daily wage earners and ensure their participation in these construction jobs. It also helps rejuvenate the country while supporting various other federal government initiatives,” Idris explained
