The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), has met with executives of Community Development Committees (CDC) and chairmen of Community Development Associations (CDA) across the local government to mobilise grassroots support for the ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC) membership e-registration exercise.
The strategic meeting, held at the Chairman’s office in Ikeja House, brought together all CDC executives and CDA chairmen within Ikeja Local Government. It was aimed at strengthening community-level engagement ahead of the conclusion of the APC membership e-registration exercise, scheduled to end on Saturday, January 31, 2026.
Addressing the participants, Chairman AKOD stressed the importance of active participation in the registration process, describing the APC as the largest political party in Africa with a strong commitment to inclusive governance and grassroots development. He urged community leaders to mobilise residents within their respective areas to take advantage of the ongoing exercise, noting that registered party membership offers numerous political and developmental benefits.
In their responses, the CDC and CDA executives expressed appreciation to the Chairman for the engagement and pledged their readiness to return to their communities to strategise and mobilise residents en masse. They assured the Chairman of their collective commitment to ensuring that a significant number of community members register and become card-carrying members of the APC.
The meeting ended on a positive note, with participants reaffirming their resolve to deepen grassroots participation and further strengthen the party’s presence across Ikeja Local Government.
