A suspected vote-buyer has been arrested by operatives of the Department of State Security (DSS).
The suspect was said to have been arrested on Saturday, November 16, while carrying two “Ghana Must Go” bags loaded with cash.
He was said to have been inviting voters with the cash to vote for an unnamed preferred candidate in the ongoing governorship election in Ondo State.
The suspect was apprehended at Ward 4, Polling Unit 007, near St. Stephen’s Primary School in Akure, Ondo State’s capital city.
Channels Television reports that the suspect has already been taken into custody by agents of the secret police.
