BREAKING: Nigerian business elites pledge N17.5 Billion for IBB Presidential Library

Nigerian business moguls have announced donations totaling N17.5 billion towards the Ibrahim Babangida Presidential Library project.

The donations were made during the launch of Babangida’s long-awaited autobiography, A Journey in Service, on Thursday in Abuja.

At the high-profile event held at the Congress Hall of the Transcorp Hilton and attended by President Bola Tinubu, billionaire industrialist Abdul Samad Rabiu led the list of donors with a contribution of N5 billion.

Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, pledged N2 billion immediately and committed to an additional N2 billion annually for the next three years, bringing his total donation to N8 billion.

While Arthur Eze donated N500m after praising IBB for what he did for him.

Meanwhile, Former Chief of Army Staff and Minister of Defence, TY Danjuma, also contributed N3 billion to the project.

The donations are part of efforts to establish the IBB Presidential Library, an initiative aimed at preserving the legacy of Nigeria’s only former military president.
