
Nigerian streethop singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known in music circles as Portable, has promised to behave himself after meeting bail conditions following his arraignment for assaulting Ogun State government officials.
The ‘Zazu’ crooner, in a post shared on his official Instagram page on Thursday, February 21, thanked God for everything and also promised to stay away from trouble.
“Alhamdulilahi for everything ��ZAzuu. No more Wahala Na money I dey look for if you no get money Call God,” Portable wrote on the video and picture sharing platform.
Recall that Portable was granted bail by the Magistrate Court in Isabo, Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State, on Thursday.
Having been charged with five counts, Portable was given N2 million bail with two sureties who must be licensed bondmen registered with the Ogun State government.
In the five counts that were brought against him, Portable, who was accused of conspiracy, assault, unlawful obstruction, carrying a gun and cutlass, and conduct likely to create a breach of peace, entered a not guilty plea when he was arraigned in court.
After pleading not guilty to the accusations against him, the singer’s lawyer, Oluwatoyin Ayodele, said the suspect “is now remorseful and has learned his lessons.” He also asked the court to grant his client bail.
Magistrate O L. Oke adjourned the case until March 5, 2025, for a follow-up hearing after granting Portable ₦2 million bail with one surety in the same amount.
