BREAKING: Ex-APC national auditor joins governorship race, unveils grand plan

As the race for the 2025 Anambra Governorship election intensifies, former All Progressives Congress (APC) National Auditor and Pro-Chancellor of Olivia University in Bujumbura, Burundi, Sir Paul Chukwuma, has officially declared his ambition to contest for the governorship seat.

On Friday, February 21, Chukwuma purchased the APC Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.

His campaign team, led by Director-General Hon. Ifeanyi Ibezi, expressed confidence that the people of Anambra State and APC stakeholders are firmly behind Chukwuma’s bid.

Speaking to journalists, Ibezi stated that Chukwuma’s campaign is built on a well-structured three-point agenda tagged ‘HIS’, which stands for Human Capital Development, Infrastructure Development, and Security.

Ibezi said: “He is committed to transforming Anambra through these core pillars.

“There are other enabling factors within these key areas, and after the primaries, he will unveil his full manifesto to the people of the state.”

Speaking on Chukwuma’s political track record, Ibezi described him as a founding APC member, a former South-East Zonal Youth Leader, and a key figure in strengthening the party’s presence in Anambra and beyond.

“Sir Paul Chukwuma is a party loyalist who has contributed immensely to APC. He facilitated the establishment of all 326 ward offices and 21 local government offices across Anambra and also secured a strategically located state secretariat near the Government House,” he added.

With the APC positioning itself as a formidable force in the state, Ibezi expressed optimism that Chukwuma would lead the party to victory in the November 8, 2025, election.

“His major focus is to win and bring development to Anambra. He has the experience, the vision, and the capacity to lead,” he concluded.
