Former PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar reportedly met with former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, on Friday.
El-Rufai was part of Atiku’s delegation during a condolence visit to the family of the late nationalist, Edwin Clark.
Sharing the visit on his X handle, Atiku described Clark’s passing as a significant loss to Nigeria.
He wrote:
“Today, I led a delegation, including former Kaduna State Governor Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, @elrufai, to offer condolences to the family of the esteemed statesman, Chief Edwin Clark. I prayed for comfort for his loved ones and acknowledged his lifelong commitment to a united Nigeria.”
“I reminded them that Clark’s death is not just a loss to his family, PANDEF, and the Niger Delta but to all of Nigeria, which he considered his constituency.”
“The best way to honour his legacy is for our leaders to foster unity and inclusiveness, values he upheld throughout his life. May his soul rest in peace. -AA”
