Doctors from Anambra protest Gov. Soludo’s alleged witch hunt.

Native doctors in Anambra State on Wednesday, staged a protest to register their grievances over what they described as witch-hunting by the Governor Charles Soludo-led administration.

During the protest march, the native doctors and traditional medicine practitioners under the auspices of ‘Ndi Dibia and Ezenwanyi in Anambra State’, said they were forced to take to the streets over alleged selective justice by the state government against them.

The leader of the group, High Priest Ikele, who addressed newsmen during the protest, said Soludo’s decision to arrest their members suspected to be aiding and fortifying criminals, cultists and fraudsters in the state was unjust and discriminatory.

“We’re not cultists or criminals. We’re traditional healers serving our communities for generations. Soludo’s attempts to stigmatise and suppress our activities won’t succeed,” Ikele said.

He added that the native doctors had rejected the clampdown and vowed to continue their prayers and rituals until their demands were met or they will do everything possible to see that Soludo is not reelected in the November 8, 2025, governorship election.
