The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi has warned personnel of the Corps against involvement in employment-related fraud.
Audi also declared unequivocally that the NSCDC is not recruiting for any position at the moment.
The NSCDC boss stated this during his operational tour of the Corps’ Katsina State Command after inspecting key facilities and recent developments in the Command.
Those facilities inspected include the renovated quarter guard, newly constructed ultra-modern photo stand, and the Rapid Response Squad unit.
In his address, the Commandant General condemned rising cases of employment scams linked to security personnel across the country, cautioning officers to steer clear of any fraudulent activities, especially scams promising job placements within the Corps.
He further warned that severe disciplinary measures would be taken against any officer found culpable of such violation.
“We are not recruiting for now. Any officer caught exploiting unsuspecting Nigerians with fake promises of NSCDC employment will face serious consequences. This institution will not harbour corruption or compromise its integrity,” Audi stated firmly.
He emphasised that the Corps remains committed to transparency, discipline, and professionalism in all its operations.
The CG also reassured personnel of continued support for their welfare and operational effectiveness, stating that the NSCDC under his leadership will defend and promote staff who maintain high ethical standards.
Earlier during the visit, Audi was received by Commandant of the College for Peace and Disaster Management (CPCDM) Katsina, ACG Babangida Abdullahi Dutsinma, and Katsina State Commandant, Aminu Datti Ahmad, among other top officials.
The visit was part of the Corps CG’s ongoing 2025 operational tour aimed at strengthening discipline, boosting morale, and reinforcing the core mandates of the NSCDC, especially the protection of critical national assets and infrastructure.
