BREAKING: Senator Ned Nwoko Visits President Tinubu [PHOTOS]

Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, visited President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday.

The senator was accompanied by key political leaders from Delta State, including top members of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The visit comes shortly after Senator Nwoko’s recent defection from the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling APC. Nwoko, who had long been a strong PDP figure, officially joined the APC earlier this month, citing his commitment to fostering development in his constituency and aligning with the federal government’s vision.

Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Nwoko shared details of the meeting.

“Earlier today, I had the privilege of meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu alongside other esteemed leaders from Delta State, including the Honourable Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo; the Delta State APC Party Chairman, Elder Omeni Sobotie; the two distinguished APC Senators from Delta State—Senator Ede Dafinone (Delta Central) and Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas (Delta South); Hon. Francis Waive (representing Ughelli North, Ughelli South, and Udu Federal Constituency); and our former National Women Leader and Executive Director of NEXIM Bank, Hon. Stella Okotete,” Nwoko wrote.

He further said that the meeting provided an opportunity for the delegation to brief President Tinubu on the state of affairs of the APC in Delta State, as well as ongoing efforts to promote internal democracy within the party. Discussions also touched on pressing issues affecting both Delta State and the nation at large.

Nwoko revealed that President Tinubu assured the delegation of his unwavering support, emphasizing his commitment to strengthening the party in Delta State and ensuring good governance across the country.
