BREAKING: Some Senators Told Me The Seat Change Was A Trap, Natasha Akpoti On Saga With Akpabio

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, the lawmaker representing Kogi Central Senatorial District has said that her colleagues had warned her against challenging the change of seat at the Nigerian Senate last week.

Akpoti-Uduaghan said her colleagues who tried to give her a heads-up told her that the directive from the Senate President for her seat to be changed was only a trap.

She said they earned her not to fall for the trap set for her by the Senate President.

To this, the Kogi lawmaker said she was however pissed that such intimidation could occur within the Red Chamber.

Speaking during an interview with Arise Television, Akpoti-Uduaghan said as far as she was concerned, Akpabio shot himself in the foot for not allowing speak on Order 10.

Recall that the change of seat at the Red Chamber had led to a brawl between the Senate president and the Kogi lawmaker.

Akpoti-Uduaghan had also alleged that the Senate President has continued to pick on her and sought ways to intimidate and punish her for refusing his sexual advances towards her.

Sh said, “I was approached by a sergeant-at-arms in the Senate chamber who informed me that my seat had been changed by the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.

“This was news to me because I had attended the last session and had not been informed of any changes.

“Before the Senate President could announce my suspension, I needed to invoke Order 10, which serves as an SOS for Senators who feel their rights have been breached. The Senate President made a mistake by not allowing me to speak on that Order 10,” Akpoti-Udiaghan said on TV.
