BREAKING: PDP Developed Delta State And Will Rise Again, Says Party Chieftain Emmanuel Ogidi

Veteran politician and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Emmanuel Ogidi, has declared that the development strides witnessed in Delta State today are the direct result of successive PDP-led administrations.

“The development of Delta State today was done by successive PDP governments. We’ve done very well,” Ogidi affirmed during an interview with ARISE NEWS on Tuesday. “But my worry is, this thing that is going in the air. When defections are brought, I’m worried. But we’ll continue to do what we’re supposed to do.”

Amid the ongoing wave of reported defections from the PDP to the All Progressives Congress (APC), a Vanguard report noted that the defectors have not been officially recognised by the APC due to the absence of valid resignation letters from the PDP—a procedural gap that may render their defection invalid in the eyes of the law.

When asked if the PDP has received formal resignations, he stated, “We have not received.”

While the political terrain may be shifting, Ogidi remains optimistic about the PDP’s future in Delta State. “PDP will rise again in Delta,” he said confidently. “We have people who are committed to the PDP cause. And I think by the time we succeed in Delta State, it will become a model.”
