BREAKING: LASU VC warns students against examination malpractices, as first semester exams begin

The Vice-Chancellor of the Lagos State University, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, has cautioned students writing the ongoing first semester examinations for the 2024/2025 academic session against engaging in any form of examination malpractices.

In a goodwill message to the students, Prof. Olatunji-Bello warned that the university would decisively deal with anyone found culpable of examination misconduct.

“Resist any temptation to engage in examination malpractices, as we will decisively deal with those found culpable,” she warned.

Prof. Olatunji-Bello, however, encouraged the students to approach the examinations with confidence, noting that they had been adequately prepared by their respective faculties.

“I encourage you to approach the examinations with confidence, knowing that you have been well-prepared by our faculty to face whatever questions come your way. I also believe that you have put in the effort to succeed.

“Therefore, believe in your capabilities, stay calm under pressure, and manage your time wisely during the examination period,” she said.

The Vice-Chancellor commended the students for their resilience, dedication, and commitment to academic pursuit, wishing them the best in the examination.

In 2015, the university suspended 25 students for failing to appear before the Students Disciplinary Committee investigating alleged examination misconducts.
