The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has stated that it has not yet announced a resumption date for the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) and the replacement of lost Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
This clarification was issued by Mr Rotimi Oyekanmi, Chief Press Secretary to the INEC Chairman, in a statement released on Tuesday in Abuja.
Oyekanmi noted that INEC’s attention had been drawn to a misleading report claiming that the CVR and PVC replacement would resume on 27 May.
He dismissed the report as false, emphasising that the commission had not set a date for the exercise and urged the public to disregard the misinformation.
