BREAKING: Osun Amotekun applicants begin training today

The Osun Amotekun Corps has commenced a three-week training programme for 1,000 successful applicants who passed its rigorous selection process.

The Corps Commander, Dr Adekunle Omoyele, confirmed that the candidates were chosen strictly on merit after undergoing multiple screening stages. He urged them to uphold endurance, unity, and discipline throughout the training period.

In a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer, Yusuf Abass, the corps announced that the training is taking place at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Camp in Ede, Osun State.

“The selected applicants were chosen after undergoing multiple stages of scrutiny, ensuring only the most qualified individuals were selected to join the Osun Amotekun Corps. The successful candidates must report to the NYSC Orientation Camp in Ede by 7:00 AM on Monday, 10th March 2025, for registration and documentation.

“Following the registration process, candidates will proceed to their designated accommodation quarters, after which training sessions will commence immediately. The training will include both theoretical and practical components, focusing on key aspects of community policing and security operations,” the statement read.

The Osun Amotekun Corps, a regional security outfit, is expected to strengthen local security efforts and enhance the protection of lives and property in the state.
