BREAKING: Ganduje’s Son in Kano for High-Profile Visit to Kwankwaso

Abdul-Aziz Umar Ganduje, son of former Kano State governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, on Thursday, paid a visit to former presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

The younger Ganduje visited Kwankwaso at his Miller Road residence in Kano.

While the details of the discussion are yet to be made public as of press time, images shared on Facebook by Kwankwaso’s media aide, Saifullahi Hassan, showed Abdul-Aziz dressed in the signature white-and-red Kwankwasiyya attire.

Also present during the visit was the Kano State deputy governor, Comrade Abdulsalam Gwarzo.

The visit comes amidst the political faceoff between the leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement, Kwankwaso and Abdul-Aziz’s father, the immediate-past national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

The rivalry took a fresh turn with the recent decision of the Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, to dump the NNPP for the APC.

Meanwhile, recently, Kwankwaso said he has never been this politically let down, following the defection of Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Yusuf, a long-time ally and political protégé of Kwankwaso, officially joined the APC after resigning from the NNPP, citing “deepening internal crises” and “prolonged leadership disputes” within the party.

Reacting in a video shared by his media aide, Saifullahi Hassan, Kwankwaso addressed supporters at his residence, expressing deep disappointment over the governor’s decision.

Speaking in Hausa, the NNPP leader said it would have been preferable if Yusuf had joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC) rather than defecting to the APC. See More
