The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has sealed the Lagos branch of the Dynamic Flame of Fire Ministries, led by Prophet Umeke Miracle.
Though this action is coming after one Ms Sururoh on X platform reported three days ago how the noise from the church had been affecting the neighborhood.
In her words,
“This is long overdue please. We’ve been reporting this case for over a year now and nothing has been done. We went out to meet them that their noise is disturbing us seriously and they had to increase it. Imagine going to bed after a long day with”
But this completely traces the heels of Prophet Miracle’s arrest in Rivers State for allegedly detaining his wife, Success, in their home for five days before the incident is happening after the arrest.
The Rivers State Police Commissioner, CP Olugbenga Adepoju, confirmed that Prophet Miracle was taken into custody and is currently under investigation by the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
The arrest followed a police operation led by DPO Abacha, who rescued Success from a residence in the GRA area of Port Harcourt.
Reports indicate that she had been held against her will and denied communication with her family.
Success later informed the police that her husband had been financially controlling since their marriage in 2017, forbidding her from opening a bank account or handling money while also failing to provide for her personal needs.
In an attempt to gain financial independence, Success secretly opened an account and started a small business.
However, her husband allegedly discovered the account, accused her of theft, and forcibly confined her.
Prophet Miracle has denied these accusations, insisting he should be spoken to first instead of his wife.
He was later taken in for questioning after initially requesting to preach in church before meeting with the police. The case is now under investigation by the Rivers State Police.
In light of these events, LASEPA has taken decisive action by sealing the church’s Lagos branch.
