BREAKING: Details emerge as Emir confirms killing of Army Captain by Boko Haram terrorists

Mohammed Shehu Timta, the Emir of Gwoza, has confirmed that an Army Captain was gunned down by some terrorists in Izge community in the Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.
Timta, who spoke to journalists after the incident, said the Army captain was killed alongside a private soldier.
He stated that the terrorists had attacked the community at about 1 am on Wednesday.
According to Timta, the attack also left three members of the terrorist group dead.
He said following the effort of troops of the Nigerian Military, motorcycles, bicycles, an operational vehicle and a sophisticated rifle were all recovered from the terrorists.
While calling on the government at the Federal and state levels to intensify efforts to end the insurgency, the monarch commended the military troops and leaders, the Civilian Joint Task Force, and other security agencies for their resilience.
He prayed to Allah for the repose of the souls of the victims and for the fortitude for their families to bear the loss.
