Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, on Saturday disclosed that the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, paid a condolence visit to his family following the death of his father-in-law, Otunba Adekunle Ojora.
Naija News reports that Saraki made this known in a post on his (formerly Twitter) handle.
According to him, the First Lady visited the family as they continued to receive sympathisers.
“As we continue to receive condolence visits, today, my family and I were honoured to receive the First Lady, Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu, who visited to offer her sympathies on the passing of my father-in-law, Otunba Adekunle Ojora,” Saraki wrote.
He expressed appreciation to individuals who had reached out through prayers, messages and visits, describing the gestures as a strong source of comfort.
“We are thankful to everyone who has reached out, sent prayers, or visited. Your kindness has been a great source of support for our mother, Erelu Ojuolape Ojora, my wife Toyin, and our entire family,” he added.
The Ojora family had earlier announced that the Olori Omo Oba of Lagos died on January 28, 2026, at the age of 93.
In a statement signed by Toyin Saraki, the family said the businessman passed away “in full submission to the will of Almighty Allah (SWT)” and urged the public to pray for his soul.
The late industrialist was buried according to Islamic rites on January 29, 2026, at Ikoyi Vault, Lagos, following Janazah prayers led by the Chief Imam of Lagos, Sheikh Sulaiman Abou-Nolla.
The burial was attended by Islamic scholars, family members and other dignitaries.
An eighth-day Fidau prayer and reception were later held on February 5, 2026, at the Eko Hotel Convention Centre, Victoria Island, attracting prominent personalities from across the country.
President Bola Tinubu and former President Olusegun Obasanjo had earlier expressed sorrow over Ojora’s death, describing him as a renowned industrialist, business tycoon and community leader. See more
Favor As Higher Power?
(The hidden truth)
Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
