State governors under the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday, April 7, visited ex-president Muhammadu Buhari at his newly renovated Kaduna residence.
The governors led by the their colleague from Imo State, Hope Uzodimma visited under the aegis of the Progressives Governors’ Forum (PGF).
Speaking shortly after the meeting with the president, Uzodimma told journalists that the governors were in Kaduna to congratulate former President Buhari on a successful Ramadan fast and extend warm Sallah greetings to him.
Uzodimma also said that the visit comes as an opportunity for the governors to wish Buhari well as he settles into his newly renovated Kaduna home.
He said, “This visit is symbolic and deeply rooted in respect, loyalty, and continued appreciation for the statesmanship, leadership and legacy of President Muhammadu Buhari.
“As a party, we remain united and committed to the ideals of good governance which he championed during his tenure,” Uzodimma stated.
Governors present include those from Kaduna, Kwara, Nasarawa, Kebbi, Edo, Kogi, Ondo, Benue, Ekiti and Ebonyi States.
