AFC 2025 qualifier between Nigeria and Libya has been postponed, according to CAF.

The highly anticipated TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 Qualifier between Libya and Nigeria, scheduled to take place tonight, has been officially postponed.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced that the fixture will no longer proceed as planned and will be referred to the relevant CAF bodies for further resolution.

This decision comes amid growing concerns following Nigeria’s withdrawal, citing safety issues after a prolonged delay at Al Abaq Airport.

CAF had earlier announced that it had been in contact with the Libyan and Nigerian authorities after it had been informed that the Super Eagles and their technical team were stranded in disturbing conditions for several hours at the airport.
