After Exercising Our Constitutionally Granted Rights, LP Is Left With No Choice But To Move On

The Labour Party, LP’s National Chairman, Julius Abure, has stated that the organisation must proceed only after employing all of the constitutionally authorised authority. The remarks were included in a report published by ARISE NEWS.

He said this after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 presidential election was confirmed by the Supreme Court, which rejected Peter Obi and Atiku’s appeals.

In response to the Supreme Court’s ruling, Julius Abure stated that the Labour Party should move on now that it has exercised its constitutionally granted rights.

“However, having Conclusively exercised our fundamental rights as gifted by the constitution, LP has no option but to move on,” he said, according to ARISE NEWS.

Additionally, recall, Judge John Iyang Okoro presided over a panel of seven judges who determined that the opposition’s appeals concerning allegations of election law violations, fraud, and Tinubu’s ineligibility to run for president were without merit.

The verdict by the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal on September 6, 2023, which confirmed APC candidate Tinubu’s victory, was sustained by the Supreme Court.
