“Agents In The Polling Units Signed The Form EC8A, But Didn’t Upload The Results” — Petition Witness

In the ongoing legal case against the results of the 2023 presidential election, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has called upon their fourth witness, Abiye Sekibo, to testify against Bola Tinubu’s re-election for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Sekibo, a medical doctor and businessman based in Port Harcourt, testified that he witnessed the ballot counting and all polling agents signed the official document for recording results, Form EC8A. However, he raised an alarm that the result sheets were not uploaded, and this was a widespread issue across the state.

The PDP plans to call a total of four witnesses to challenge the electoral outcome, and their testimonies and evidence will play a vital role in the tribunal’s decision on the legitimacy of the 2023 presidential election results. The hearing is ongoing as both parties present their arguments and witnesses to prove their case.

In his own words, “After the voting process, I was present during the ballot counting. I acknowledge that all the polling agents signed the Form EC8A, however, the result sheets were not loaded and this was the scenario throughout the state.”
