AK 47: According to NSA, Now It’s ₦5M Which Means It’s Not Available, We’re Taking Them Out, We’re Destroying Them

Mallam Nuhu Ribadu continued, saying that the administration led by Bola Tinubu is eliminating these terrorists and that the country’s AK-47 gun shortage is the reason for the sharp drop in terrorist-related fatalities.

According to Sahara Reporters, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu made the statement while emphasising developments in Nigeria’s fight against terrorism, at the High Level African Counter Terrorism Meeting in Abuja on Monday.

Speaking further, the NSA notes that the price of AK 47 rifle has gone up, from less than a million Naira, to more than ₦5 million within a space of one year.

Mallam Nuhu Ribadu said: “Last year, it used to be less than N1 million; in fact, it was going down to less than N500,000. Now it’s N5 million, which means it’s not available. We’re taking them out; we’re destroying them.”

He went on and made it known that a lot of things are changing in the country, noting that the country used to record about 2,600 AK 47 deleted deaths per month, but now Nigeria has less than 200 AK 47 related deaths monthly. He went on and made it known that the country is getting the required results for the work done.
