Following the Supreme Court’s ruling, former federal lawmaker Senator Ben Murray-Bruce has urged Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar to congratulate President Bola Tinubu on his win in the 2023 presidential election.
In a post on X, Ben Murray-Bruce addressed the two presidential contenders who fell short against President Bola Tinubu in the general election of 2023, saying that “litigation must end, and the Supreme Court must end it.”.
He noted that “all talk by some persons that ‘Bola Tinubu is not my President’ is frivolous and unhelpful.” According to him, Nigeria has a President and whether his critics like him or not, it does not change the fact that he is in charge of the nation’s affairs.
“As long as you call yourself a citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, you do not have ‘your’ President. Nigeria has a President, and whether you like it or not, he presides over you as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Head of the State,” he remarked..
