Festus Keyamo has been advised to stop making statements that might endanger the life of the presidential candidate of the labor party, Peter Obi. The statement was made on Tuesday, barely 24 hours after Festus Keyamo claimed that Peter Obi lied about assassination threats against him.
Details claimed that Peter Obi in recent days made a statement about being told by a friend of his that some people might try to assassinate him over his presidential ambition.
While the labor party candidate did not mention any name in his statement, Festus Keyamo is believed to have accused Peter Obi of trying to seek public validation.
Keyamo added that Peter Obi has continued to make false statements in other to gain the sympathy and votes of the people ahead of the forthcoming presidential election.
The camp of Peter Obi is believed to have also blasted Festus Keyamo for accusing Peter Obi of trying to mislead the public. The group maintained that Peter Obi has never lied and he would not.
Regarding the statement made by Festus Keyamo, a group identified as Nigerian Elders for Peace and Good Governance has urged the president of Nigeria to warn Festus Keyamo against making sensitive claims.
According to a report from Daily Post, Nigerian Elders for Peace and Good Governance on Tuesday, September 13, sent a message to Festus Keyamo regarding what he said about the candidate of the labor party.
