Former Governor of Rivers State, and Vice Presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Rotimi Amaechi, has berated the political credentials of the African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore.
Speaking during a panel session on Monday at the 2026 Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Amaechi submitted that Sowore should keep quiet when real politicians are talking.
He further boasted that during his term as Governor, he invested in several infrastructures, including schools and roads, for the people of the state.
He added that during his time as the Minister of Transportation, several rail lines were operational, observing that he doesn’t know what has become of them under the current administration of President Bola Tinubu.

Naija News reports that the outburst follows an earlier submission by Sowore during the event in which he said Nigerians should not allow politicians, including Amaechi, to lie to them going into the 2027 elections.
Sowore had said the likes of Amaechi and others who had been in government for several years have no business contesting the 2027 polls because they have failed.
He claimed that the rail lines built when Amaechi was a Minister, “went nowhere.”
