Another Fake Doctor Nabbed In Jos

A fake medical doctor has been nabbed by the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) in Plateau state.

This was contained in a statement jointly signed by Dr Bapigaan William Audu, NMA Chairman in the state and Dr Istifanus Bintum Bako, Public Relations Officer of the Association and made available to newsmen in Jos.

“This is to inform our esteemed members and the general public that NMA Plateau in collaboration with the Plateau State Ministry of Health has facilitated the discreet investigation and subsequent arrest of another fake doctor carrying out nefarious activities in schools and worship centres across the state,” the NMA leadership said.

It would be called that, the NMA had last year, declared that Mr. Noah Kekere, suspected of harvesting kidneys of patients in Jos, was a “quack doctor.”

According to the NMA leadership, the arrested fake doctor, had been parading himself in dual names as: “George Ossai” and “Kelvin Paul” and was arrested on Monday March 18, 2024 within Jos metropolis and was transferred to the CID, Police Headquarters Jos the next day.

It said the matter has been handed over to the police for further investigations.
