Appointments: Leaving out the South-East is not something good for Nigeria–Asari Dokubo warns Tinubu

Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo expressed his views on the recent appointments made by Nigeria’s president, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in a Facebook live session.

According to him, Tinubu’s appointments have neglected the southeastern region, and he criticized this omission, stating that it is not beneficial for their interests.

He said, “Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, you are not making appointments in the best direction because you have totally left the southeast out.” He added, “leaving out the South-East is not something good for us.”

Dokubo, who claims to have defended Tinubu and even risked his life for him, insisted that the southeast should be represented in the senate presidency. He emphasized the need for a strong presence from the region, stating that some individuals from the southeast are currently causing problems in the country. Dokubo argued that having a strong pillar of support in that region would serve as a rallying point and contribute to stability.

Also, Dokubo called upon those aspiring for the senate presidency to prioritize the greater good over personal agendas. He urged them to demonstrate their love for Tinubu by stepping aside and allowing a representative from the southeast to assume the position. According to him, this is a critical moment that requires making the right decisions, rather than pursuing personal interests and ambitions.
