Ayu Must Step Down Because PDP Is Not a Private Company – Bode George

According to Punch, bode george said the party is not a private enterprise.

He insisted that Iyorchia Ayu must be replaced as party chairman and that the six main positions in the country must be divided equally.

He claims that presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar and Ayu cannot be from the same region.

He said the PDP was not a private enterprise and must respect the will of the people and distribute the six top positions in the country fairly and equally. If we are to win the next parliamentary elections, we must transfer the seat of the national chairman to the South before the presidential elections begin.

In order to restore peace and unity in the party, we ignored the principle of rotation in our Constitution and elected Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as our presidential candidate in May this year. At the moment, the presidential candidate and the national chairman of the party come from the same area.

Some people are arguing vehemently that there is nothing wrong with the status quo. Some say that this happened when Obasanjo was President because the presidential candidate and the national chairman came from the same area.
