Bashir Ahmad Reacts to the Court’s Order for the Kano Government to Pay N30 Billion in Demolition Compensation

Former President Muhammadu Buhari’s aide and member of the All Progressive Congress, Bashir Ahmad, has responded to a Federal High Court in Kano’s order that Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf pay N30 billion in compensation for demolition.

Shop owners near Massallacin Eid in Kofar-Mata, Kano Municipal Local Government area of the state, are allegedly entitled to N30 billion in compensation from the Kano State Government, according to VANGUARD, because their buildings were illegally demolished and due process was not followed.

The order of the court has however been generating lots of comments from many people.

In a post that Bashir Ahmad shared on his verified Twitter page on Friday, he said that the governor’s unthoughtful approach to demolishing people’s properties has unfortunately resulted in Kano wasting billions of taxpayer’s money.
