The Special Advisor on Information and Strategy to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Bayo Onanuga, has responded by asserting that President Tinubu’s choice was rejected by Dr. Ruby Onwudiwe.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu proposed her for membership on the CBN board of directors, according to THE CABLE.
Tinubu was cited as saying the following in a letter to Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President:
“I am pleased to present for confirmation by the senate, the appointment of Dr Ruby Onwudiwe as a member of the CBN board of directors”.
However, an X user has now claimed that Dr Ruby Onwudiwe has rejected the appointment.
In a post that the X user shared on his official handle, he wrote;
“Dr. Ruby Onwudiwe has come out to categorically state she rejected the appointment by the Tinubu regime, making it the second individual to reject the same appointment”.
Reacting to the statement, Bayo Onanuga said it is laughable.
