Ben Chilwell And Reece James offer Mason Mount Chelsea exit reaction amid Manchester United contact

Manchester United is dominating the race to recruit the Cobham graduate before the summer transfer window, casting doubt on Mason Mount’s future at Chelsea.

Salary and bonuses, according to insiders at the west London company, were the main issue in discussions for Mount’s new contract, according to a report in The Times. There were three offers that would have raised the Cobham grad’s compensation to the level of the club’s top earners.

In response to a question on whether Mount would leave Chelsea this summer, Chiwell said, “I’d love for him to stay, but it’s none of my business. I personally would love for him to stay because he is my best friend, but it is none of my business.

In response to suggestions that Mount would depart the Blues this summer, James has finally spoken out. The 23-year-old added in an interview with Sky Sports that “Of course, if he [Mount] goes, everyone will be sad to see him go.”

Despite Mauricio Pochettino’s eagerness to cling onto the England international, Mount’s future at Stamford Bridge is becoming less and less certain. The 24-year-old is still up for grabs by Liverpool and Arsenal, but a switch to Old Trafford is still the most likely scenario.
