Benue People Will Vote Overwhelmingly For Tinubu-Shettima – APC Chieftain

Daniel Gbabo, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue state has declared that the party would beat the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in a convincing and overwhelming victory come the 2023 elections.

He disclosed this while briefing newsmen in Makurdi on Sunday shortly after an extraordinary emergency meeting of “Benue League of Emerging Leaders of Thought” held in Makurdi on Sunday.

Gbabo who is also the leader of the League explained that the reason why the people of Benue will vote for the APC in 2023 is that “Our people believe that Tinubu and Shettima are progressive leaders and not political merchants.

“They (Tinubu and Shettima) look at the other candidates as political merchants and jobbers that want to grab power through the back door by hook or crook and should not be trusted.”

He further explained that “Benue people will support the Tinubu-Shettima ticket overwhelmingly because of their track record of achievements. It is a notorious fact that our people place the ticket at their hearts and are not concerned about the issues of religion.”

Gbabo, a former Senior Special Assistant to Governor Ortom on Political Matters also stated that the Benue people have made up their mind on who to vote.

Therefore he said, “Truth is that our people are not comfortable with PDP returning to power and will not support them. They still prefer the APC against the propaganda and lies of the PDP.

“People have made up their minds and that can’t be changed. Benue votes in 2023 belong to the APC and that fact has been established even by the opposition here.

“The duo of Tinubu and Shettima are men of proven integrity who believe in economic prosperity as demonstrated while in service of their respective states. This we believe will be replicated across the country.”

“We’re strictly following the footsteps of our founding father JS Tarka the late sage as the political leader of the minorities who believed in meritocracy against religiocracy. People should not be judged by the inclination of their religious belief but on the basis of the content of their capacity, competence and antecedents.
