Between 2015 and 2018 Nyesom Wike was the only 1 we knew was not going to the Villa at Night—According to Sowunmi

According to Segun Sowunmi, a former Ogun State PDP candidate for governor, Nyesom Wike distinguished himself from the ruling party between 2015 and 2018 by openly opposing them.

In an interview with Channels TV, Sowunmi stated that Wike disagreed with the ruling party even when carrying out official tasks like reading the budget or approving projects. He acknowledged that Wike has done a great job of advocating the PDP’s interests and said that no other party leader has been able to step into Wike’s position or equal his effect and influence.

In Sowunmi’s words: “Between 2015 and 2018 Nyesom Wike was the only one we knew was not going to the Villa in the Night. He was the only one that we knew that if he is reading budget, he is doing opposition work; if he is commissioning a project, he is doing opposition work. He really filled the space on our behalf, he carried us. Okay, he is not at home now; we have 13 others, have you found anybody that even remotely resembles him in terms of delivery, capacity, and energy? I am not happy that he is not around”.
