Boehly Sacks Groundsman After 30yrs At Chelsea

Premier League giants Chelsea have sensationally sacked their head groundsman Jason Griffin after 30 years at the club.

The groundsman is not the only one who has lost his job, with Griffin’s son and his assistant also departing.

Per The Mail, there is no official reason for the exits according to the club.

Griffin Sr has been at Chelsea since 2003, while he works on the ground, training pitches at Cobham, and the women’s and development team pitches at Kingsmeadow.

The departure appears to be the latest in a line of changes behind the scenes at Chelsea.

The new owners, including co-owner Todd Boehly, have stamped their authority on the club this season.
