A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Idris Kalgo, has opined that President Bola Tinubu has lost the support of Northerners.
Naija News reports that Kalgo made this statement on Saturday during an interview on Trust TV.
Speaking on the party’s preparations for the next general elections, Kalgo expressed optimism that the ADC will oust the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027.
According to Kalgo, Northern Nigerians no longer like Tinubu, except those who benefited from his ministerial and political appointments.
The ADC chieftain reiterated that Nigerians are tired of Tinubu, and the President can confirm from a survey.
He said, “We are actually happy at the ADC because 20th February 2027 is the date when Nigerians will decide. And it’s also going to be a date whereby we are going to throw out the APC govt.
“Tinubu has practically lost support from the North. The North doesn’t like him anymore. The only people from the North who are still with him are his ministers and appointees. They only tell him what he wants to hear.
“He can send them as investigators to go underground to make a research and survey. He will get to know that Nigerians are no longer with him. They are tired of him.”
