Nigerian music legend, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has proposed to Edo State lawmaker, Natasha Osawaru, in a heartwarming moment captured on video.
The clip, which went viral on Thursday, showed the pair dancing before 2Baba presented a ring to Osawaru, prompting cheers from those around them. The couple then shared a long embrace, confirming the proposal.
This comes just a day after 2Baba publicly acknowledged his relationship with Osawaru, following his recent separation from his wife, Annie Idibia. The revelation has stirred conversations across social media, with many weighing in on the development.
Speculation about their romance had been growing in recent weeks after 2Baba was spotted visiting the Edo State Assembly and later seen with Osawaru at a Lagos club.
In response to the rumors, the singer took to Instagram on Tuesday to set the record straight. Defending Osawaru against accusations of being a “homebreaker,” he affirmed his love for her.
“Hon. Natasha has been dragged and called all sorts of names,” 2Baba wrote. “She is a young, brilliant, amazing woman and had nothing to do with what happened between me and Annie. Yes, I love her, and I want to marry her.”
